China Fleet Country Club – Note of Support from the First Sea Lord

On behalf of the Royal Navy, I am delighted to offer my support to the China Fleet Country Club and the China Fleet Trust as you gather for this inaugural fundraising dinner.

For generations, the China Fleet Trust has played a vital role in supporting our serving personnel, veterans, and their families – providing grants, rewards, and opportunities that make a real difference to the Naval community. The Trust’s stewardship of the Club, built on the legacy and investment of sailors and marines in Hong Kong, continues to safeguard this philosophy.

The introduction of a fundraising component is a significant and welcome step. It will help ensure that the Trust can continue to enhance its offer to beneficiaries, sustaining and expanding the support that so many rely upon.

My sincere thanks to the Trustees, the leadership of the Club, and the generosity of all those attending tonight. Your commitment ensures that the China Fleet Country Club remains a cornerstone of our Naval family, now and for the future.
