On Thursday, 11th December 2025, the High Sheriff of Cornwall, Geraint Richards MVO OBE, paid an official visit to the China Fleet Trust and Country Club. During the visit, Mr. Richards met with CEO Gordon Hannah to learn more about the charity’s work supporting Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel, veterans, and their families.

The High Sheriff was accompanied by Cllr Hilary Frank, Cornwall Council Cabinet Member and Trustee of the China Fleet Trust, who highlighted the importance of the Trust’s role in the local community and its enduring commitment to the Armed Forces family.

The visit underscored the strong partnership between civic leaders and the charity, reinforcing shared values of service and support across Cornwall.
