HMS Oardacious Conquer the World’s Toughest Row

On 20 January 2026, the incredible crew of HMS Oardacious completed the World’s Toughest Row—a gruelling 3,000‑mile Atlantic crossing from La Gomera to Antigua. Their achievement marks an extraordinary feat of endurance, teamwork, and determination, overcoming relentless heat, unforgiving seas, sleep deprivation, and even mechanical challenges along the way. Crossing the finish line in 36 days and 12 hours, the four‑person Royal Navy team secured 7th place overall out of 43 teams, and 5th in the fours category—a remarkable result in one of the most demanding endurance events in the world. The China Fleet Trust and China Fleet Country Club are immensely proud to support the HMS Oardacious initiative, which not only showcases the resilience and spirit of Royal Navy personnel but also raises vital funds and awareness for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines community. Their dedication at sea reflects the very best of our maritime family.
