HMS TAMAR – Emerges from Deployed Docking Period

HMS Tamar Maintains Global Readiness – Strong Ties to Home in Cornwall

HMS Tamar, the Royal Navy’s forward-deployed offshore patrol vessel, recently completed a scheduled maintenance period at the Seatrium shipyard in Singapore. This essential docking phase ensures Tamar remains mission-ready as she continues her five-year deployment across the Indo-Pacific region, supporting maritime security, humanitarian operations, and international partnerships.

While thousands of miles from home, HMS Tamar’s connection to Cornwall remains strong through her proud affiliation with the China Fleet Trust and China Fleet Country Club. This enduring relationship, now in its fourth year, provides a vital “home port” for the ship’s crew and their families. Regular updates, shared stories, and seasonal gestures—like Christmas care packages filled with Cornish produce—help bridge the distance and reinforce the bond between ship and shore.
