On Sunday 12 July, the China Fleet Trust and China Fleet Country Club were delighted to host a Family Fun Day for beneficiaries, members, and the wider local community. Despite exceptionally warm weather, the event proved to be a tremendous success, attracting more than 850 visitors throughout the day.
The event not only provided an enjoyable day out for families but also generated valuable support for the China Fleet Trust Fund. Contributions received on the day, together with a proportion of ticket sales, have helped strengthen the Fund and will enable the Trust to continue providing direct support to beneficiaries and their families.
The Trust was particularly pleased to welcome a wide range of organisations whose equipment, displays, and engagement activities added significantly to the day’s success. These included 47 Commando Royal Marines, 42 Commando Royal Marines, the Naval Regional Commander’s Engagement Team, the Royal Navy Reserves Engagement Team, Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps, Naval Families Federation, White Ensign Association, Aggie Weston’s, the Royal Navy Benevolent Trust (RNBT), Cornwall Council’s Youth Engagement Team, and many other valued supporters.
Events such as this play an important role in raising awareness of both the Trust’s charitable mission and the Club’s role in supporting the Royal Navy and wider Armed Forces community. Most importantly, the day brought people together, strengthened community connections, and provided a fun and memorable experience for families of all ages.
The Trust would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, exhibited, and supported the event, helping to make it such a successful occasion.
